Janis Qavavauq Bibeau is a 2Spirt Inuk researcher and advocate dedicated to addressing systemic barriers affecting Indigenous communities. Her work focuses on issues such as Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S), institutional violence, and decolonizing social services. With expertise in community-driven research, policy analysis, and culturally grounded methodologies, Janis collaborates with grassroots organizations and policymakers to foster meaningful change. She is passionate about trust-based philanthropy, Indigenous-led advocacy, and creating spaces that center Indigenous voices and self-determination.
