Core working group member
Dominique Gaulin is a member of the Atautsikut CoP core working group, both contributing to the development of this initiative and to the facilitation of the CoP group meetings. In addition to being involved in the Atautsikut project, Dominique is a social worker who carried out various mandates, mostly in the area of mental health in Nunavik. She is also a trainer for the Best Practices in Suicide Prevention training, in its version adapted to Nunavik. Dominique studies in Social Work at the Université de Montréal. Her doctoral project concerns Inuit perception of recovery and mental health, through the concepts of empowerment, resilience and resistance. Her work interests include mental health, postcolonial approach, participatory research, social and transcultural psychiatry, collaborative care, as well as adult and youth homelessness. In her free time, Dominique likes to play outside and cook!
