Core working group member
Carolane is the coordinator of the Atautsikut project, togetherness in Inuktitut. She is also a master’s candidate in Transcultural Psychiatry at McGill University and a research assistant at the Sherpa research centre. Previous projects she has worked on include research on racial microaggressions and discrimination, social and cultural identities, basic interpersonal skills, and improving mental health care for youth aged 11 to 25 years. Her other interests include mental health and trauma in immigrant, refugee and Indigenous populations. In her spare time, Carolane is a lover of the arts in all its forms and the different perspectives on the world that these mediums allow her to explore. She is also passionate about nature and outdoor activities with her family.
