Children & Youth behaviours: And when it becomes an issue

Behavioral issues with youth are common and often indicate a variety of ailments. In a cultural context that is different, it can be difficult for practitioners to differentiate between what is appropriate behavior and what is considered problematic by a community. In this presentation, we discuss the behavioural difficulties often mentioned among youth in Nunavik, the differences between a behavioural disorder and behavioural difficulties and discuss some strategies to support these youth and their families.
